Call This Tuesday to Get
of any service
Living in Oakland Park means you're part of something special. This isn't just another Fort Lauderdale suburb. It's a diverse community with 31 distinct neighborhoods packed into 8 square miles, a booming downtown scene along Northeast 12th Avenue, and everything from historic early 1900s homes to brand-new mixed-use developments.
But here's what that diversity means for your plumbing: the pipes in a 1920s home near Jaco Pastorius Park have different needs than a modern condo in North Corals. A restaurant in downtown Oakland Park faces challenges a single-family home in North Andrews Gardens doesn't. And our South Florida climate? It creates plumbing issues you won't find anywhere else.
Trust Rooter gets it. We're not another generic plumbing company trying to apply the same solutions everywhere. We understand why The Corals neighborhoods have different drainage patterns. We know the plumbing quirks of properties near the Florida East Coast Railway. We've worked on everything from grease trap installations at restaurants near Funky Buddha Brewery to complete repiping in historic homes.
When you call us, you get straight answers and fair prices. No pressure. No hidden fees. Just honest plumbing service from people who actually know Oakland Park.
Most plumbers treat every city like it's the same. Cookie-cutter advice. Standard solutions. But Oakland Park isn't standard, and your plumbing shouldn't be treated like it is.
The Hard Water Challenge
South Florida's water comes from the Biscayne Aquifer, a limestone formation that loads our water with calcium and magnesium. That crusty white buildup on your faucets and showerheads? That's minerals. Over time, they clog pipes, reduce water pressure, and kill water heaters years before they should fail.
In Oakland Park, we see this constantly. A tankless water heater that should last 20 years barely makes it to 10 without proper water treatment. Showerheads that clog every few months. Washing machines that wear out from mineral buildup. It's not your fault. It's just our water.
High Humidity and Plumbing
Our subtropical climate means year-round humidity. Pipes sweat. Condensation forms. Mold grows in places you can't see. This affects everything from drain systems to water heaters, especially in older homes without modern moisture barriers.
We've pulled apart walls in homes near Wimberly Fields Park and found mold growing behind perfectly fine-looking surfaces, all because humidity got to the plumbing. Prevention matters here more than in drier climates.
Historic Home Complexities
Oakland Park has homes dating back to the early 1900s. Beautiful properties with character and history. They also have galvanized steel pipes corroding from the inside, cast iron sewer lines cracking underground, and plumbing configurations that don't match modern standards.
Updating these systems without destroying the home's character takes knowledge and care. We've done it dozens of times in Oakland Park's historic neighborhoods.
The Restaurant and Brewery Boom
Downtown Oakland Park has exploded with restaurants, breweries like Funky Buddha, and food-focused businesses. These places need specialized plumbing. Grease traps that work properly. Drainage systems that handle high volume. Equipment connections that meet health codes. Gas lines for commercial kitchens.
Restaurant plumbing isn't the same as residential plumbing. We know the codes, the equipment, and what actually works.
Multi-Family and Condo Buildings
Oakland Park has tons of condos and multi-family buildings. When plumbing fails in these properties, it affects multiple families at once. Emergency response needs to be fast. Repairs need to minimize disruption. And everything needs to meet HOA or condo association requirements.
We've worked with property managers throughout Oakland Park and understand what multi-family buildings need.
Plumbing disasters don't wait for business hours. Pipes burst at midnight. Toilets overflow during dinner parties. Water heaters fail on Sunday mornings. When emergency strikes, we're ready.
Our emergency plumbers respond fast with fully stocked trucks. We handle:
We don't add extra charges for nights, weekends, or holidays. Emergency pricing is the same as regular pricing because that's just fair. You're already stressed. Price gouging makes it worse.
Slow drains are annoying. Completely blocked drains are a crisis. Most clogs happen gradually, giving you warning signs if you know what to look for.
We use professional equipment:
In Oakland Park, we often find clogs caused by mineral deposits from hard water, tree roots from palms and ficus trees, and in older neighborhoods, deteriorating cast iron pipes that catch everything.
For restaurants and commercial kitchens, we handle grease-related clogs and can set up maintenance schedules to keep your drains flowing.
Cold showers are the worst. Water heaters in Oakland Park face extra stress from our hard water and humid climate. Most traditional tank units last 8-10 years here instead of the 12-15 you'd get in other parts of the country.
We work with all types:
Signs you need water heater service:
For Oakland Park homes, we often recommend tankless systems with good water softeners. They handle our climate better, last longer, and save energy. The upfront cost is higher, but the long-term savings add up.
Some leaks are obvious. Others hide in walls, under slabs, or underground, causing damage for weeks before you notice. Hidden leaks are expensive.
Our leak detection uses advanced tools:
We've found leaks behind walls in condos, under slabs in homes near Easterlin Park, and underground in properties throughout The Corals neighborhoods.
Common leak sources in Oakland Park:
Old pipes eventually fail. Galvanized steel corrodes. Cast iron cracks. Even copper develops pinhole leaks over time in our water conditions.
We offer several solutions:
For Oakland Park homes, we typically recommend PEX or copper. PEX handles our climate well and costs less to install. Copper lasts longer but needs proper installation to prevent future corrosion issues.
Your sewer line carries all wastewater away from your home. When it backs up, you've got a serious problem. Multiple drains backing up at once. Sewage in your yard. Foul smells you can't ignore.
Oakland Park sewer problems often involve:
We start with camera inspections to see what's actually happening. Then we discuss your options, from cleaning to trenchless replacement that saves your landscaping.
Business plumbing is different. Restaurants can't operate without working kitchens. Breweries need specialized equipment connections. Retail spaces require reliable restrooms. Downtime costs money.
We serve Oakland Park businesses with:
We've worked with restaurants along Northeast 12th Avenue, businesses near Oakland Park Boulevard, and commercial properties throughout the city. We understand health codes, equipment needs, and what keeps businesses running.
Condos and multi-family buildings create unique challenges. One plumbing problem affects multiple families. Repairs need to happen fast while minimizing disruption. Everything needs to work with HOA requirements.
We handle:
We work with property managers and condo associations throughout Oakland Park and understand what multi-family properties need.
Oakland Park's historic homes (early 1900s through 1960s) have unique plumbing needs. Original galvanized pipes corroding from inside. Cast iron sewer lines cracking. Outdated configurations that don't match modern water usage.
We specialize in:
We've updated plumbing in historic homes throughout Oakland Park's established neighborhoods while respecting their original character.
You've got options when choosing a plumber. Here's why Oakland Park homeowners and businesses keep calling us:
We Actually Answer the Phone
Call us right now. A real person answers. Not voicemail. Not an answering service in another state. Just us, ready to help.
Upfront Pricing, No Surprises
We diagnose the problem, explain what needs to happen, and tell you the cost before doing any work. You approve the price. Then we fix it. No hidden charges. No mysterious add-ons. What we quote is what you pay.
Licensed, Insured & Background-Checked
Every plumber on our team holds a Florida state license, carries full insurance, and passes background checks. You can feel comfortable having us in your home or business.
We Respect Your Property
Shoe covers. Drop cloths. Cleaning up after ourselves. Your home or business isn't our workshop. We treat it with respect.
Honest Recommendations
If something doesn't need fixing yet, we tell you. If there's a cheaper option that works fine, we mention it. We're building relationships in Oakland Park, not trying to maximize every service call.
Local Knowledge Matters
We know the difference between neighborhoods. We understand the plumbing in historic homes versus new construction. We've worked in condos, restaurants, single-family homes, and commercial buildings throughout Oakland Park's 8 square miles.
Here's how to keep your plumbing healthy in our climate:
Schedule Annual Inspections
We check for early corrosion signs, test water pressure, inspect your water heater, look for hidden leaks, and catch small problems before they become expensive disasters.
Address Hard Water Issues
Install a water softener or conditioning system. It protects pipes, extends appliance life, saves energy, and makes water feel better. The investment typically pays for itself through savings.
Maintain Your Drainage
Watch for slow drains. Keep grease out of kitchen sinks. Have your sewer line inspected every few years. Address tree roots before they destroy pipes.
Prepare for Storm Season
Know where your main water shutoff is. Have our number saved. Check outdoor plumbing after heavy rains. Consider a sump pump if you're in a flood-prone area.
Update Aging Systems
If your home was built before 1970 and still has original plumbing, consider updating it. Galvanized pipes don't last forever. Neither does cast iron. Modern materials work better and last longer.
We serve all 31 of Oakland Park's distinct neighborhoods:
We also serve nearby Fort Lauderdale, Wilton Manors, Lauderdale Lakes, Pompano Beach, and throughout Broward County.

Read MoreLee Everitt from Trust Rooter plumbing was here in 2 hrs after calling them because both toilets broke. He fixed 1, but the other one was too old and rusted...we had 1 that worked which was fine because we wanted to get 2 new ones. We got the new ones and a vanity with a new sink. Janeen in the office scheduled prompt installation. Lee came back and installed the new fixtures and did a great job. He was courteous, knowledgeable and meticulous. I highly recommend Trust Rooter for your plumbing needs.
Needed to replace an old leaking kitchen faucet with a new one we purchased at Home Depot. Called Trust Rooter at 9:15AM and was given a two-hour window appointment of 12 Noon-2PM that day. The service tech, Raul, soon called and asked if he could come an hour early. We said "sure"! He was professional, personable, and very knowledgeable. At the end, he checked to ensure there were no leaks. He neatly finished the job in under an hour. We asked him a few questions about some upcoming projects we may have, including the replacement of a hot water heater and he took the time to explain the process and what to expect with that job. He educated us as to how long the swap out would take and how it would be done. We certainly would ask for Raul to do that replacement when the need arises. We are so happy we have been able to find a new plumbing service to fill the void of recently losing our plumber of many years. It is rare to quickly feel comfortable with a service provider. You can certainly Trust Rooter!
Clogged tub. Very clogged. I tried everything. I called at 10am. Luis showed up at 11:10. Amazing time. Amazing employee. Cleaned everything ( even what he didn’t have to.). Professional and a genuine nice guy. The lady I spoke to on the first call was just as amazing. I will be using this company ONLY. Thank you
We woke up this morning to find that our dishwasher overflowed, and our kitchen was flooded. Needless to say it was a stressful Monday morning. The stress faded, once I spoke to Jeneane this morning. Jeneane was informative, kind, and a pleasure to work with - she helped me schedule my same day appointment, and I was able to get a free quote. The technician, Jose arrived within the 2 hour arrival window. Jose came out and fixed our garbage disposal. Before he did anything that would cost us money, he gave us 2 possible quotes based on a best case and worst case scenario. The cost was straightforward and reasonable which I appreciated. Jose educated us on what caused the issue and how to avoid it in the future. He was kind, courteous, respectful, and a pleasure to work with. I cannot recommend this company enough. I had to call back after everything was said and done just to thank them again for everything! I will certainly be using them if I run into any plumbing issues in the future. You guys have earned a loyal customer. If you’re considering using them, consider this your sign to call them now.
