Plumbing Maintenance Checklist: You can avoid unexpected plumbing problems before they even happen. We provide annual inspections and identify problems before they have a chance to affect your system. This will help you save on costly emergency repairs.
Don’t use flushable wipes: The majority of “flushable” wipes on the market don’t biodegrade fast enough to avoid clogging your sewer drain. If you use them, don’t flush them down the toilet. Instead, dispose of them in the trash.
Know the location of your main water shut off valve: If you do happen to have a burst pipe, knowing beforehand how to shut the water off to the house is key. It can mean the difference between a new wood floor or just a few wet towels.
Flush your water heater tank annually to remove sediment build-up: Your water heater has an inner lining to prevent the tank from rusting. Sediment buildup in your tank causes your water heater to produce less hot water and makes your tank heat your water more frequently. If the tank is always running, it can overheat and crack, causing a major leak. Contact a professional to flush your water heater yearly to avoid this disaster.
Be mindful about clogging drains!: Putting anything down a shower, toilet and tub drain, kitchen sink or garbage disposals that they are not really meant to handle and cause a clog. For example, garbage disposals cannot handle ALL food remnants or coffee grain . Highly fibrous foods can cause problems, so can cooking grease or fats once they cool down. Hair can also build up in shower and bath drains. Again, monitor how water drains in plumbing areas throughout your home. If it’s slower than normal, you may be dealing with a clogged pipe or drain.
Common signs to call a emergency plumber
You see water by your water heater, toilet, shower, tub, laundry or kitchen sink.
You experience high water bill than normal
Hear water leaking inside your wall, even wen you aren't using water
You have visible water marks in your ceiling, wall or wood floor.
Experiencing very low water pressure in all your fixtures.
Your kitchen sink, toilet, laundry drain or tub are clogged or water is over flowing.
Smell gas inside you house or office
Leaking hoses of washing machines
Turn off the water: The first thing to do would be to shut off the main water valve, if it is a minor one, perhaps in the toilet, you can shut off the water supply in that area. This will help prevent any further damages from occurring until your plumber arrives.
Don't flush your toilets or use any water: This will prevent any major over flow in your house or office. Avoid chemicals or chemical cleaners during emergencies to avoid making matters worse
Control Gas leak smells: shut off you gas water heater, stove or any gas appliance
Stay Calm And Call a Plumber: It can be easy to get overwhelmed when you're in the midst of a plumbing emergency. Take a few deep breaths, stay calm and think as logically as possible when handling your emergency situation.

Read MoreLee Everitt from Trust Rooter plumbing was here in 2 hrs after calling them because both toilets broke. He fixed 1, but the other one was too old and rusted...we had 1 that worked which was fine because we wanted to get 2 new ones. We got the new ones and a vanity with a new sink. Janeen in the office scheduled prompt installation. Lee came back and installed the new fixtures and did a great job. He was courteous, knowledgeable and meticulous. I highly recommend Trust Rooter for your plumbing needs.
Needed to replace an old leaking kitchen faucet with a new one we purchased at Home Depot. Called Trust Rooter at 9:15AM and was given a two-hour window appointment of 12 Noon-2PM that day. The service tech, Raul, soon called and asked if he could come an hour early. We said "sure"! He was professional, personable, and very knowledgeable. At the end, he checked to ensure there were no leaks. He neatly finished the job in under an hour. We asked him a few questions about some upcoming projects we may have, including the replacement of a hot water heater and he took the time to explain the process and what to expect with that job. He educated us as to how long the swap out would take and how it would be done. We certainly would ask for Raul to do that replacement when the need arises. We are so happy we have been able to find a new plumbing service to fill the void of recently losing our plumber of many years. It is rare to quickly feel comfortable with a service provider. You can certainly Trust Rooter!
Clogged tub. Very clogged. I tried everything. I called at 10am. Luis showed up at 11:10. Amazing time. Amazing employee. Cleaned everything ( even what he didn’t have to.). Professional and a genuine nice guy. The lady I spoke to on the first call was just as amazing. I will be using this company ONLY. Thank you
We woke up this morning to find that our dishwasher overflowed, and our kitchen was flooded. Needless to say it was a stressful Monday morning. The stress faded, once I spoke to Jeneane this morning. Jeneane was informative, kind, and a pleasure to work with - she helped me schedule my same day appointment, and I was able to get a free quote. The technician, Jose arrived within the 2 hour arrival window. Jose came out and fixed our garbage disposal. Before he did anything that would cost us money, he gave us 2 possible quotes based on a best case and worst case scenario. The cost was straightforward and reasonable which I appreciated. Jose educated us on what caused the issue and how to avoid it in the future. He was kind, courteous, respectful, and a pleasure to work with. I cannot recommend this company enough. I had to call back after everything was said and done just to thank them again for everything! I will certainly be using them if I run into any plumbing issues in the future. You guys have earned a loyal customer. If you’re considering using them, consider this your sign to call them now.
