When your pipes start leaking or your drains back up at your beach house, you need a plumber who understands coastal living. Trust Rooter brings licensed plumbing expertise to every home and business in Lauderdale By The Sea. We're not just another plumbing company. We're your neighbors who know what saltwater does to pipes and how beach sand clogs drains.
Living in this small beachfront town means dealing with plumbing challenges you won't find inland. Saltwater corrosion eats through copper pipes faster here than anywhere else in Broward County. Beach sand infiltrates drain lines. Hurricane season threatens your plumbing system every year. We've seen it all, and we know exactly how to fix it.
Our plumbers show up on time, explain what's wrong in plain English, and give you upfront pricing before we touch a single pipe. No surprise charges. No sales pressure. Just honest plumbing work from Florida state licensed professionals who live and work in this community.
This isn't Fort Lauderdale or Pompano Beach. Lauderdale By The Sea is a tight-knit beach town where reputation matters. When your neighbor recommends a plumber, you listen.
Here's what sets us apart. We answer our phones 24/7. A real person, not a recording. When you've got water flooding your bathroom at 2 AM, you need help now, not tomorrow morning.
We stock our trucks with parts that work in coastal environments. Stainless steel fixtures. Corrosion-resistant components. Marine-grade materials. You won't wait three days for us to order a special part that can handle saltwater exposure.
What you can expect from us:
Upfront pricing before we start any work. We'll diagnose your problem, explain what needs fixing, and tell you exactly what it costs. If you approve, we get to work. If not, you only pay the service call fee.
Licensed and insured Florida plumbers with real training. Our team has completed the required education, passed state exams, and knows current Broward County building codes. When we pull permits, inspectors know our work passes.
We clean up after ourselves. Shoe covers protect your floors. Drop cloths go under work areas. We haul away old fixtures and debris. Your home looks better after we leave, not worse.
Real warranties that mean something. If something goes wrong with a repair we made, we come back and fix it at no charge. That's how confident we are in our workmanship.
Plumbing emergencies don't wait for business hours. Your pipe bursts during a storm. Your water heater fails on Sunday. Your sewer backs up when you have guests staying.
That's why we offer true 24/7 emergency service in Lauderdale By The Sea. When you call our emergency line, a person answers. Not voicemail. Not an answering service. A real plumber who can help you right now.
Our emergency team carries fully stocked trucks and arrives ready to work. We handle most emergency repairs on the spot without scheduling a follow-up visit.
Common emergencies we handle:
Burst pipes flooding your home need immediate attention. We shut off the water, assess the damage, and repair your pipes fast. In coastal homes, saltwater corrosion often weakens pipes until they finally burst. Every minute counts when water's pouring into your house.
Sewer backups are nasty and dangerous. Raw sewage backing up into your toilet or bathtub creates a health hazard. We respond fast with the right equipment to clear blockages and get things flowing again.
No hot water? Your water heater doesn't care that it's the weekend. If your unit dies, we can often repair it same-day or install a new one quickly so you're not taking cold showers all week.
Saltwater flooding after storms brings its own problems. It's not just water damage. Saltwater accelerates corrosion in your pipes, fixtures, and connections. We inspect everything and address corrosion before it causes bigger problems.
Beach living means dealing with unique drain problems. Sand gets tracked inside and washes down drains. Saltwater residue builds up in pipes. Tree roots from coastal vegetation infiltrate sewer lines seeking moisture.
Store-bought chemical cleaners don't work. They burn a small hole through the clog, and it comes back worse a week later.
We use professional hydro jetting equipment that completely clears your drains. High-pressure water scours away years of sand buildup, saltwater mineral deposits, and grease. It's way more effective than a basic drain snake, and results last longer.
Before we start, we often run a video camera through your pipes. You'll see exactly what's blocking your drain. Tree roots growing into your sewer line? We'll show you the footage. Decades of beach sand accumulation? You'll see that too.
People often ask if hydro jetting damages pipes. Not when done correctly by trained professionals. We adjust water pressure based on your pipe material and condition. Older pipes get gentler treatment.
Saltwater and humidity accelerate water heater corrosion in Lauderdale By The Sea. Your unit might only last 8-10 years here compared to 12-15 years inland.
Signs your water heater needs attention include water that's not as hot as before, rumbling sounds from the tank, or moisture around the base. Call us before it fails completely.
We repair and install both traditional tank water heaters and tankless systems. Tankless units cost more upfront but last longer and work better in coastal environments. They're less susceptible to saltwater corrosion because they don't store water.
For beach properties, we often recommend units with corrosion-resistant components. Stainless steel elements. Protective anode rods. Marine-grade connections. These additions extend your water heater's life in this harsh environment.
Hidden leaks waste water and damage your home. In coastal properties, leaks often start from saltwater corrosion eating through pipes from the outside.
Your water bill tells the story. If it suddenly jumps with no change in usage, you probably have a leak somewhere.
We use professional leak detection equipment to find hidden leaks without tearing apart walls. Electronic listening devices pick up the sound of escaping water. Thermal imaging cameras show temperature differences caused by leaking water. Moisture meters pinpoint wet areas behind walls and under floors.
In beach homes, we also assess saltwater corrosion damage. Pipes corrode from the outside in when exposed to salt air. We check connections, joints, and exposed sections for corrosion before they fail.
Saltwater air accelerates pipe corrosion dramatically. Research shows metal pipes in coastal environments corrode 5-10 times faster than inland. Your copper pipes might show corrosion in just a few years.
We repair burst pipes, replace corroded sections, and handle complete repiping when necessary. For beach properties, we often recommend PEX tubing or stainless steel pipes. Both resist saltwater corrosion better than traditional copper.
Older beach cottages near Commercial Boulevard or along El Mar Drive often have galvanized pipes. These corrode terribly in coastal environments. If you're buying an older beach property, get the plumbing inspected. Repiping costs less when planned than when pipes start bursting.
Tree roots love sewer lines in coastal areas. Florida's lush vegetation grows aggressively, and roots will find any crack in your sewer pipes seeking moisture.
We handle complete sewer line services including cleaning, repairs, and replacements. Our video camera inspections show you exactly what's happening inside your sewer line. No guessing. No unnecessary work.
For repairs, we often use trenchless methods that don't require digging up your entire yard. We create small access points and run new pipe through the old one. Your landscaping stays intact.
Beach homes near the Intracoastal often have additional challenges with high water tables affecting underground pipes. We understand these issues and engineer solutions that last.
Saltwater air corrodes fixtures faster in Lauderdale By The Sea. That chrome faucet you installed five years ago might already show pitting and corrosion.
We install fixtures designed for coastal environments. Stainless steel components. Corrosion-resistant finishes. Marine-grade materials that last in this harsh environment.
Running toilets waste hundreds of gallons daily. That constant trickling sound isn't just annoying. It's money down the drain. We fix worn flappers, faulty fill valves, and mineral buildup issues fast.
Outdoor showers are essential for beach properties. You need somewhere to rinse off sand and saltwater before tracking it inside.
We install outdoor showers using materials that handle saltwater exposure. Stainless steel fixtures. PEX or CPVC piping. Proper drainage to prevent pooling. Shut-off valves so you can winterize the system if needed.
Installation typically costs $950-1,300 depending on location and complexity. Worth every penny to keep beach sand out of your indoor plumbing.
Lauderdale By The Sea requires backflow preventers on many properties. These devices protect your drinking water from contamination.
We install, test, and certify backflow preventers to keep your property compliant with local codes. Annual testing is required by law. We handle the paperwork and submit results to the town.
Gas lines require special care in coastal environments. Saltwater corrosion can cause dangerous leaks.
We handle gas line repairs, installations, and inspections. If you smell gas anywhere in or around your home, get everyone outside immediately, shut off the gas at the meter, and call us. Gas leaks are extremely dangerous.
This small beachfront town faces plumbing issues you won't find inland.
You're living right on the Atlantic Ocean. Salt air carries tiny particles that settle on everything. When combined with Florida's humidity, salt creates an electrolyte solution that accelerates corrosion.
Metal pipes corrode 5-10 times faster here than inland. Copper pipes show corrosion in years instead of decades. Fixtures pit and deteriorate. Connections fail.
We've pulled copper pipes from beach homes that looked perfect on the outside but were paper-thin on the inside. Saltwater corrosion eats pipes from the outside in.
That's why we recommend corrosion-resistant materials for beach properties. Stainless steel fixtures. PEX tubing. Marine-grade components. They cost slightly more upfront but last way longer.
Sand gets everywhere in beach towns. You track it inside. It goes down drains. It builds up in pipes over time.
Outdoor showers help, but sand still makes its way into your plumbing. Kitchen sinks near the beach accumulate sand. Bathroom drains collect it. Laundry connections pick it up from beach towels.
Regular drain cleaning prevents major clogs. We recommend professional hydro jetting every couple years for beach properties. It completely removes sand buildup that chemical cleaners can't touch.
Living on the coast means preparing for hurricanes every summer. Storm surge can flood your property. Heavy rains overwhelm drainage systems. High winds damage outdoor plumbing.
Before hurricane season, check your sump pump if you have one. Make sure outdoor fixtures have shut-off valves. Know where your main water shutoff is located. Clear gutters and downspouts so water drains properly.
After storms, inspect for damage. Check for leaks. Look for corrosion on exposed pipes. Storm surge flooding brings saltwater that accelerates corrosion dramatically.
Lauderdale By The Sea sits close to sea level with a high water table. Underground pipes experience constant moisture exposure. This accelerates corrosion and makes leaks harder to detect.
Properties near the Intracoastal face additional challenges. The water table fluctuates with tides. Drainage systems need proper engineering to handle these conditions.
We understand these issues because we work in this environment daily. Our solutions account for high water tables and tidal influences.
Many properties in Lauderdale By The Sea are vacation rentals. Guests aren't always careful with plumbing. They flush things they shouldn't. They ignore small leaks. They don't report problems.
If you own a rental property, regular plumbing inspections catch problems before they become emergencies. We offer maintenance plans for rental property owners. Scheduled inspections, drain cleaning, and preventive care keep your plumbing running smoothly between guests.
You've got a plumbing problem. Here's exactly what to expect.
We listen to your problem. Tell us what's wrong. We'll ask questions to understand the situation. Is this an emergency needing immediate attention, or can it wait for a scheduled appointment?
We give you a realistic timeframe. For emergencies, we respond fast. For scheduled work, we give you a specific time window and actually show up during it. We call ahead when we're on our way.
We diagnose before we fix. Our plumber inspects the problem using video cameras or other diagnostic equipment when needed. We explain what we found in normal language, not plumber jargon.
You get written pricing before we start. No surprises. You'll know exactly what the repair costs before we touch anything. Approve the work, and we get started. If not, you only pay the service call fee.
We fix it right the first time. Our plumbers use quality parts designed for coastal environments. We test everything before leaving to make sure it works correctly.
We stand behind our work. Something not right? Call us back. We warranty our labor and honor manufacturer warranties on parts we install.
Most plumbing disasters develop slowly. Regular maintenance catches small problems before they become expensive emergencies.
Flush your water heater annually to remove sediment. In coastal areas with hard water, this maintenance is critical. Sediment buildup reduces efficiency and causes early failure.
Have drains professionally cleaned every couple years. Beach properties need more frequent cleaning because of sand accumulation.
Inspect for corrosion regularly. Check visible pipes, connections, and fixtures for signs of saltwater damage. Catch corrosion early before pipes fail.
Test outdoor fixtures before and after hurricane season. Make sure shut-off valves work. Check for storm damage after heavy weather.
Know where your main water shutoff is and make sure it turns easily. When pipes burst, every second counts.
Some problems can wait. Others need immediate attention. Call us right away if you notice:
Water where it shouldn't be. Pooling water, wet walls, ceiling stains, or moisture around fixtures indicate active leaks causing damage.
No water at all. Suddenly having no water pressure or no water from any fixture means something's seriously wrong.
Sewage backing up. Raw sewage coming up through drains is a health hazard. Don't wait.
Gas smell. If you smell gas, get everyone outside, shut off the gas at the meter, and call us immediately.
Burst pipe spraying water. Shut off your main water valve right away and call us for emergency repair.
Corroded pipes. If you see green corrosion on copper pipes or white corrosion on galvanized pipes, they need attention before they fail.

Read MoreLee Everitt from Trust Rooter plumbing was here in 2 hrs after calling them because both toilets broke. He fixed 1, but the other one was too old and rusted...we had 1 that worked which was fine because we wanted to get 2 new ones. We got the new ones and a vanity with a new sink. Janeen in the office scheduled prompt installation. Lee came back and installed the new fixtures and did a great job. He was courteous, knowledgeable and meticulous. I highly recommend Trust Rooter for your plumbing needs.
Needed to replace an old leaking kitchen faucet with a new one we purchased at Home Depot. Called Trust Rooter at 9:15AM and was given a two-hour window appointment of 12 Noon-2PM that day. The service tech, Raul, soon called and asked if he could come an hour early. We said "sure"! He was professional, personable, and very knowledgeable. At the end, he checked to ensure there were no leaks. He neatly finished the job in under an hour. We asked him a few questions about some upcoming projects we may have, including the replacement of a hot water heater and he took the time to explain the process and what to expect with that job. He educated us as to how long the swap out would take and how it would be done. We certainly would ask for Raul to do that replacement when the need arises. We are so happy we have been able to find a new plumbing service to fill the void of recently losing our plumber of many years. It is rare to quickly feel comfortable with a service provider. You can certainly Trust Rooter!
Clogged tub. Very clogged. I tried everything. I called at 10am. Luis showed up at 11:10. Amazing time. Amazing employee. Cleaned everything ( even what he didn’t have to.). Professional and a genuine nice guy. The lady I spoke to on the first call was just as amazing. I will be using this company ONLY. Thank you
We woke up this morning to find that our dishwasher overflowed, and our kitchen was flooded. Needless to say it was a stressful Monday morning. The stress faded, once I spoke to Jeneane this morning. Jeneane was informative, kind, and a pleasure to work with - she helped me schedule my same day appointment, and I was able to get a free quote. The technician, Jose arrived within the 2 hour arrival window. Jose came out and fixed our garbage disposal. Before he did anything that would cost us money, he gave us 2 possible quotes based on a best case and worst case scenario. The cost was straightforward and reasonable which I appreciated. Jose educated us on what caused the issue and how to avoid it in the future. He was kind, courteous, respectful, and a pleasure to work with. I cannot recommend this company enough. I had to call back after everything was said and done just to thank them again for everything! I will certainly be using them if I run into any plumbing issues in the future. You guys have earned a loyal customer. If you’re considering using them, consider this your sign to call them now.
